? all i want for christmas, is big bowls of CAULIFLOWER VANILLA OATS and big mugs of coffee☕️?? but seriously though, you can make me reeeeal happy with these two things☺️ getting back into the grind after eating way too much chocolate and cookies last night with this nourishing bowl? this whole concept of nourishing yourself after ‘overeating’ or ‘eating unhealthy’ brings me to something i’ve wanted to talk about for a while now; the fact that lately i’ve been seeing lots of ‘how to’s’ on ‘staying healthy during the holidays’ and ‘getting back on track’ after eating certain foods. to be honest, these posts have been making me so frustrated!? holidays are a time to CELEBRATE—family, friends, FOOD, and everything we are grateful for…not a time to overthink what goes into our bodies, and ESPECIALLY not a time to PUNISH ourselves for eating certain things!! yes, of course i don’t load up on pop-tarts or processed breakfast cereals after eating 1/2 my body weight in sugar last night, but i make myself a breakfast that i’m CRAVING, that feeds both my body and my soul!? i don’t download a calorie app or workout more to ‘fix’ the ‘damage’ i’ve done, bc lets be real, there is NO DAMAGE! this is life; it’s meant to be exciting, thrilling, and fun at the same time. do you really want to look back on all the holidays and think about how good/bad you ate or how hyper-focused you were on burning off what you did? i definitely don’t. i want to think about the fact that i was present with my family and ENJOYED all the sweets? im happy to say that yesterday, i definitely did?
