Are you team salsa ? or guac ? for your tortilla chips?! ?Comment below!

Here we have another example of diet culture marketing. Let me be clear, these are not a “bad” or “wrong” thing ?‍♀️ just because they’ve got diet culture marketing on them. My goal is to help you learn to look PAST the labels and what they may claim to be and to truly tap into what YOU want.
.
Many times when you see things that claim to have veggies in them, like these tortilla chips or maybe crackers, usually ❌don’t ❌ pack the veggie punch you think. Typically the “veggies” aren’t a main ingredient but they contain a small pinch so they can put this on the label.
.
Now these have a fun color which I think could really add enjoyment & satisfaction to a meal ? (we DO eat with our eyes too!) and they might have a slightly different taste, maybe a little more interesting than a regular tortilla chip. But… they’re not going to be hugely different nutrient wise typically ?‍♀️ And this specific example cost about 3x more than the regular tortilla chips. Some people CAN’T pick the “boosted” option and there should be no guilt associated with that.
.
When you learn to eat without food rules you see these for what they are: a potentially fun option. Not “better” or “worse” than the regular option.
