Baked apples are a perfect nutritious dessert for cold winter nights. You get less calories in more volume (volume helps with satiety), more nutrients, more fibre and no added sugar compared to popular desserts like apple pie! These also make a great snack!

Simply:
1. Cut apple in half- leave skin on (that’s where most of the fibre is).
2. Lightly brush with some extra virgin olive oil.
3. Top with a sprinkle of granola and cinnamon.
4. Bake covered for approx 15 minutes until almost soft through.
5. Bake uncovered for a further 5-10 minutes to brown up the granola.
