• Preservative use in cold meats varies between brands and even between products from the same brand
• Many preservatives are not harmful, however some should be limited or avoided. For example, Nitrates (249-252) have been linked to higher rates of some diseases. Nitrates are found mostly in cured and highly processed meats (such as salami, some ham, bacon, sausages)
• It is possible to get Preservative free meats for foods such as sliced chicken, turkey and even some hams but you need to look at or ask to see the ingredients list so you know what you’re getting
Well folks, it looks like we’ve got a hot topic on our hands today: the never-ending debate of whether pineapple belongs on pizza or not. That’s right, the age-old question that has divided pizza lovers everywhere.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. Pineapple on pizza? That’s like wearing sandals with socks – it just doesn’t quite go together. But hear me out. Some people swear by the sweet and tangy combination of pineapple with savory toppings like ham or bacon. It’s like a tropical vacation for your taste buds!
But then there are the purists, the ones who believe that pizza should be kept sacred and pineapple has no place on it. They argue that pineapple’s juicy sweetness clashes with the cheesy, tomato-y goodness of a classic pizza. It’s like trying to mix oil and water – just doesn’t work.
Personally, I like to think of pineapple on pizza as a risky adventure. Sure, it might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but hey, life is too short to play it safe all the time. Go ahead, live a little and try a slice of Hawaiian pizza. You never know, you just might be pleasantly surprised.
In the end, whether you’re team pineapple or not, the beauty of pizza is that it can be customized to suit anyone’s taste. So let’s all just agree to disagree and enjoy a slice of whatever makes us happy. And who knows, maybe pineapple on pizza will become the next big food trend. Hey, stranger things have happened in the culinary world, right?
