While both of these are valid choices and you have the right to pick either… but they’re not the same. ?♀️ They’re not “swaps” or replacements…Like, at all.

A lot of what you see on Instagram regarding intuitive eating is to reject “healthier” options of things, like making an orange reindeer and having that as a holiday sweet in place of a chocolate orange. BUT something that I see all too often is…. ?

Yikes! ?And what I mean by this is people think that the “right” choice as an intuitive eater is to eat the higher calorie/sugar/fat/carb/etc item. When in reality it’s picking the thing that YOU want the most. That will be satisfying and that will make you feel good physically and mentally for the most part. THAT is intuitive eating.?

So, some days you might want a fresh, juicy orange ?and other days the rich, smooth chocolate?. Both as valid choices for an intuitive eater! What matters is YOU are making the choice. And just because you “can” have the chocolate now doesn’t mean you have to.
