During my nutrition and dietetics studies and since then, volume eating has continually shown up as the right eating approach for me.
5 reasons why I am a volume eater:
1. It is a nutrient rich way of eating.
2. It helps me manage high levels of hunger.
3. I don’t have to count calories or macros which I personally hate (I find it all consuming and seem to feel more hungry ?)
4. I don’t exclude any foods and especially no entire food groups. So while the graph shows low to higher calorie density- I NEVER avoid any foods. I apply portion control for the higher calorie density foods.
5. I can apply the volume eating when preparing meals at home, buying food or loading my plate at a barbecue.
