Hands up ? if you agree!

Sometimes I think that Instagram gives food freedom and intuitive eating a bad name… ?I mean, it kinda gives the impression that if you eat ice cream all day then you’ll make peace with it, right? And while yes, giving yourself permission to eat ice cream or any of the foods that you previously restricted or deemed “bad” is HUGE… it doesn’t show the full picture. ?‍♀️And I think it makes people confused and almost turns it into another diet plan to follow. Except this one is filled with ice cream.

There is more to finding food freedom than just eating previously deemed “bad” foods. But that isn’t as easily depicted on a social media graphic so many people skip the other important steps and just do the eating. What are the other steps?

1️⃣Learning body attunement and interpreting your hunger, fullness and satisfaction cues
2️⃣Reflecting on how your body feels when it eats certain foods, types, amounts, etc.
3️⃣Finding what you actually like and enjoy again without the influence of diet culture
.
