I won’t lie, sometimes a nice pressed juice can be a delicious, refreshing thing! ?Juice itself isn’t “bad”… but you 180% don’t need a juice cleanse.?♀️ I feel almost silly typing this because I feel like it has been said over. And over. And over. But obviously not enough because we are STILL being marketed to for them!

A.) Your body doesn’t need “detoxing”. ❌It really doesn’t. Give your bod’ some credit. For the vaaaaaast majority of us it has organs and highly complex biological systems that do what needs to be done.

B.) They’re SO nutritionally UNbalanced! ?♀️And this will lead you to enter the restrict-binge cycle. Even if the restriction is coming from a well intended “cleanse” on your part and not as “I gotta lose weight ASAP!” diet. Our bodies see it the same.

So enjoy a juice if you want. ?♀️Sometimes it hits the spot and yes, they can pack some nutrients. But they’re NOT a replacement for food. Nor do you need detoxing or cleansing. Just, like, wash your hands and maybe don’t eat food with dirt on it… ok? Then you’re clean.

I feel like we need bumper stickers that say “Just say NO to juice cleanses!” or “I vote NO on Juice Cleanse #87!” ? But fo realllll!
