The issues we have with our bodies are things that we are taught by society. We’re basically brainwashed into thinking we will never be good enough. Need proof? ?

At 22 we want to look like we did at 19.
At 28 we want to look like we did at 22.
At 35 we want to look like we did at 28.
At 50 we want to look like we did at 35.
At 65 we want to look like we did at 50.
.
It’s a rat race. What if we stopped and decided we were enough NOW? What if we rejected diet culture’s unrealistic standards? How empowering would that be?!
.
In my opinion the goal isn’t to love the way your body looks every day. That’s unrealistic. The goal is to learn to accept & appreciate your body.
.
Whenever I see a change in body be it a stretch mark on my tushie or needing to order a size up I like to say “These changes are signs of life.. How cool is that?!”
.
