SUPERFOODS TO INCLUDE

My FREE myth busting course in my bio includes a section on 5 superfoods to stop wasting your money on.

I’ve never been into overpriced super foods and super food powders. These everyday foods have superfood properties and are always in our kitchen. ????
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
? Barley. Fibre rich, low GI and packed with vitamins and minerals. Barley also contains beta-glucan which has been shown to lower bad cholesterol.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❤️Almonds. 2/3 of the fat in almonds is the very healthy mono-unsaturated fat. ?? Amongst other nutrients, Almonds also boast plenty of vitamin E, a strong anti-oxidant which helps protect our cells from oxidative damage.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
?Berries. One of the richest sources of fibre and anti-oxidants.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
?Oats. Perfect nutrient rich breakfast staple. Oats also contain beta-glucan – the soluble fibre that lowers bad cholesterol.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
?Avocado. Boasts super high monounsaturated fat content and plenty of vitamins and minerals including folate and potassium.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
?Lentils. Fibre rich. Perfect way to get in protein without the saturated fat that comes from animal foods.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
?Chia seeds. Plant source of omega-3. Its use in our body is not as efficient as omega-3 from marine sources but still very important.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
?Spinach. Tons of nutrients in a low calorie package. Rich in anti-oxidants that have been shown to be protective against some cancers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
?Garlic. Rich in nutrients that support immune function and our nervous system. It contains Allicin which has been shown to potentially help lower blood pressure and lower bad cholesterol.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
?Tomatoes. Rich in vitamin C. They also contain lycopene which is a powerful anti-oxidant.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
?Yoghurt is a nutrient rich package with plenty of protein, calcium, phosphate and potassium. It has a low GI so great for satiety.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
?Eggs. Rich in protein, selenium, zinc, B6, B12 and Vitamin D. Eggs have lost their ‘bad egg’ status now that we know that eating them does not negatively impact on blood cholesterol levels (unless you’re a hyper responder- speak to your doctor)
