Teriyaki Green Beans
{NEW} Teriyaki Green Beans ??? These Teriyaki Green Beans are VERY TASTY and excellent for a quick weeknight dinner side dish, or an addition to your weekly food prep meals, but also impressive enough to make for your holiday guests this upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas season.⠀
⠀
I served these alongside garlic chicken tenders and brown rice the other night for my family and everyone really enjoyed these beans!⠀
⠀
In addition to being versatile and delicious, green beans contain a wealth of nutrients.⠀
⠀
Green beans provide some of our daily protein requirements. They also contain vitamins like vitamin A, C, K, B6, and folic acid. Green beans are a good source of minerals such as calcium, iron, manganese, potassium, and copper. They also contain that much needed fiber!⠀
⠀
makes about 4 servings⠀
⠀
Ingredients:⠀
⠀
1 lb. fresh green beans, ends trimmed⠀
⠀
1 Tbsp sesame oil⠀
⠀
2 Tbsps water⠀
⠀
1-2 Tbsps toasted sesame seeds, for serving⠀
⠀
Homemade Teriyaki Sauce:⠀
⠀
3-4 fresh garlic cloves, minced or pressed⠀
⠀
2 Tbsps fresh ginger, finely grated⠀
⠀
1 Tbsp raw honey, or pure maple syrup⠀
⠀
1/3 cup coconut aminos, Bragg’s liquid aminos, or low sodium soy sauce⠀
⠀
1/2 cup broth (vegetable, or beef)⠀
⠀
1/2 Tbsp gluten-free flour⠀
⠀
Instructions:⠀
⠀
In a small glass bowl whisk all Teriyaki sauce ingredients together really well; set aside.⠀
⠀
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add oil. Add in the beans and 2 Tablespoons of water. Stir.⠀
⠀
Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes, then stir again and continue to cook until they are done to your liking (I prefer them on the crunchy side “tender crisp” and still very green). Drizzle your homemade teriyaki sauce over the beans and cook stirring until sauce thickens and beans are nicely coated for just a minute or two.⠀
⠀
Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving and enjoy immediately! ❤Rachel
