Social media shows us a very warped view of “healthy”. It’s all about the organic veggies ?, free range chicken ?, and cauliflower eVeRyThInG!

Now those things aren’t “bad” ?‍♀️ You have permission to enjoy a green juice AND have no food rules!! But those things aren’t the full picture, they’re not accessible to everyone and they’re really not where I’d recommend starting when it comes to gentle nutrition.

If you’re wondering “Where the HECK do I start?!” then keep reading ?

1️⃣ Ya gotta first work on the more “basic” aspects of intuitive eating: making peace with food, breaking your food rules, etc.
.
2️⃣ Then focus on the physiologic needs like incorporating carbs, fat and protein at meals because our bodies run on a combo of those macronutrients. Here you’ll also focus on giving your body the amounts of foods that feel best- figuring out your own internal “portion control” mechanism that is listening to your body!

3️⃣ After that comes learning more about what different veggies and fruits do for our bodies, what foods have fiber and what the different types of fibers do, etc!
.
It’s really like a pyramid ? ya gotta build up and everyone is going to have different “focus areas” based on their individual needs. So really you can’t just copy that what I eat in a day video your fave influencer posted!
