Which of these would you pick today?!
.
Today, I’d pick the carrots. Other days I might pick the chips (depending on what flavor they are ? not a fan of boring chips!- Aldi Cuban sandwich ones are legit the best!)
.
BOTH of these options can be a “non-diet”, “food freedom”, “intuitive eating”, “[insert-whatever-hot-slang-the-cool-kids-are-using-nowadays-here]” choice.
.
There can be a ton of pressure to “fit” the non-diet “look” with social media. Sometimes I even feel it when I do full days of eating and don’t have ice cream, chocolate, etc. “Will people think I’m dieting?” Because I DO get those comments “Omg why didn’t you just enjoy the chips!” or “Ugh that’s such a restrictive thing to do!’
.
What matters is the WHY behind your food choice. And no one else should give two flying effs about your choice as long as it comes from YOU and makes YOU feel good. Yes, look out for signs of an unhealthy relationship with food in your loved ones absolutely, but let’s let go of the judgment. It doesn’t do anyone any good.
.
What someone might enjoy, someone else might not. Everyone’s gentle nutrition looks different based on your own preferences and what makes you feel good both mentally and physically.
.
If you want to get to this place of truly being at peace with both types of food- the more body nourishing and the more soul nourishing be sure to sign up for next week’s free training linked in my bio! I’ll give you a full stepwise, structured process to follow!
