Whenever someone asks me “but I have a food allergy, I HAVE to have food rules!” I always say: Actually, you COULD eat the peanuts. But do you want to go into anaphylaxis? Probs not. ?‍♀️ So you make an empowered choice not to.

You can also make an empowered choice not to eat donuts ? every day. Just because you see donut photos everywhere you turn when you search the hashtag intuitive eating doesn’t mean that’s how you SHOULD eat either.

There are literally NO food rules.? And that also stands true when it comes to nutrition. Yes, nutrition matters in intuitive eating, kinda a lot. More than what Instagram leads you to believe. But the KEY to achieving the “gentle” non-obsessive part of it is HOW you go about implementing it. You have to FEEL the difference with nutrition so you want to implement it in your own unique way, not just do whatever the heck boss babe health coach Tina tells you to do. That’s really not doing you any favors in the long run.
