While these hummus chips are slightly favourable vs potato chips on the salt front, we’re splitting hairs when it comes to the difference when it comes to calories if you’re having a handful.

So while there’s nothing particularly bad about these hummus chips, there’s nothing particularly good about them either. This might come as a surprise given they get a 4 star health rating! The LONG list of ingredients and obvious high level of processing is also not ideal, but this is not considered in the health rating scale.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Applying the health star rating across the huge array of products is hard, I get it. But this is a reminder to look beyond the health star rating at the food as a whole and how we eat it and consider:
• How processed is it?
• Does it provide me with lots of good nutrients?
• How satisfying will it be?
• For snacks- is it likely that I’ll overeat this food? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Moderation is key!
