Sticky Honey Garlic Shrimp
{Ready in just a few minutes ?
Serve over brown rice + a side of steamed broccoli ?} Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
1/3 cup raw honey
1/4 cup light soy sauce, coconut aminos, or Braggs liquid aminos
3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
juice of one fresh lemon
1.5 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 Tbsps clarified butter, Irish butter, or coconut oil
green onions and parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
In a small bowl whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic and lemon.
Add half of the sauce to the shrimp and let marinate for 30 minutes.
In a medium sized skillet, heat to medium, then add the butter. Immediately add the shrimp and discard the used marinade. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Turn the heat to medium high. Cook until the shrimp turn pink about 4 minutes total, while stirring occasionally. Add the untouched marinade and pour over shrimp in hot pan. Cook until the sauce starts to thicken and coats the shrimp – just a minute or so.
Remove from heat.
Garnish with fresh green onions and fresh chopped parsley.
Serve with brown rice, and steamed broccoli.
