The iron in animal-based foods (???? ????) is easier to absorb than the iron in plant-based foods (???-???? ????). There are ways we can enhance the absorption of non-haem iron (post to follow ?)

While the body can store iron, it cannot make it. Therefore you need to get iron from food. ⠀
The best way to prevent iron deficiency is to eat iron rich foods!

Meat (beef, pork, chicken, kangaroo etc)
Offal (liver, kidney)
Seafood (oysters, shellfish etc)
