?BBQ tempeh + tomato + avocado + vegan mayo double decker sandwich? Styling ? inspired by Alex @nourishingalex whose account is full of delicious meals.?My mouth is pretty small so eating this sandwich as is was not pretty ?.
?BBQ Tempeh Recipe: Boil 1-8oz block tempeh straight out of the packet (in enough water to cover) for five minutes before using. Slice tempeh into approximately 2-1/2 inch wide rectangles about 1/8 inch thick. (The thinner you cut them the more crispy they get.) Rub your favorite BBQ sauce onto each piece of tempeh until all sides are well coated. Let marinate about 15 minutes. Either sauté tempeh on high heat in lightly oiled skillet or bake on non-stick baking sheet at 400F about 20 minutes until crispy, flipping and basting with more BBQ sauce (using a pastry brush) while cooking.
