Which of these did you need to see today?! Comment below ?

Friendly reminder that it’s okay for all of these things to happen ❤️ It’s okay if you go day(s) without touching a veggie ? aaaand it’s also okay if you like to put kale in your smoothie for a little nutrient boost ?‍♀️ If there is one thing that drives me bonkers about Instagram it’s how it portrays intuitive eating. How it shows mostly just the cookies, donuts, and cakes.
.
While yes! You can absolutely go out and get a double scoop waffle cone ? without an ounce of guilt, stress or anxiety that’s not ALL intuitive eating is about. It’s also about giving your body the nutrients to allow it to be your vehicle for life for many, many years to come in an enjoyable way. It’s a mix. It’s not nearly as polarizing as it can seem on IG. ?‍♀️
.
As an intuitive eater who doesn’t just rebel against diet culture but has healed from it you start to see things like “adding kale to smoothies” not as good, or bad, or right or wrong but rather just as an option. An option that you can take or leave. An option that doesn’t tie your your moral value.
.
Many times during the start of an intuitive eating journey things on the second slide might feel triggering. This is normal. But rather than pushing that discomfort away and avoiding them try to see it as a chance to look deeper and do some healing. Ultimately we DO want to tie nutrition and health promoting behaviors into our lives as an intuitive eater. ❤️ For many this is the missing link as to why “intuitive eating doesn’t work”.
