Watermelon (or any other fruit or veggie!) is NOT too high in carbs or sugar. 🙅‍♀️Do I need to say that one more time for the people in the back?!⠀

Most people don’t get enough fruits or veggies on any given day, so when I hear that a diet tells you to avoid any of them all together or to limit the amount you do eat my head wants to explode. 🤯Keto is by far the biggest culprit of this fruit & veggie fear mongering that I’ve been hearing about for what feels like forever now. And it breaks my heart!💔⠀

Now, I’m not talking about those who use the keto diet for epilepsy or other medical nutrition therapy (don’t get your panties in a bunch!), I’m talking about the general public using keto for it’s strict food rules. You have full right to make your own diet choices, and if you want to do keto that’s your choice, but not something I can get behind as a registered dietitian.🤷‍♀️⠀
