Do you LAUGH? Powerful medicine does exist beyond food, supplements, exercise, lifestyle etc. Sure, I wholeheartedly believe that ALL of these contribute to living your best life, BUT throughout years of bodily abuse and anxiety the best lesson I have learned is to have a sense of humor. There were times during my eating disorder years where I lost DAYS obsessing over eating an extra almond or crying because I regressed in recovery for a week or weeks feeling depressed because I spent a few months consistently over-eating when I finally told my eating disorder to F*** off. At the end of the day, what does ANY of this matter? I have to constantly remind myself that my life could end at ANY moment…Do I want to spend my last moments in utter distress? HELL NO. We are all HUMAN…we all make mistakes…some of us, including myself, are our own worst critics. I have honestly been under an enormous amount of stress the past few weeks. Deadlines, obligations, family stuff…not to mention my father’s 6 year anniversary of his passing is coming up which gets me a bit emotional. But throughout the day I try to remind myself to laugh…it’s going to get done whether I’m in state of stress or a state of happiness. Just your Saturday reminder to be easy on yourself, have a sense of humor…my dad always told me it would make life more fulfilling. Verdict: he was right as usual ❤️ Happy Saturday loves.
