✨Happy New Week Lovelies!?
**
Can I really go more than a few days without curry? That is THE question ?. Ah, but let me tell you, nothing brings me more joy than feeding my kids food that they really enjoy. Mamas are you on the same page? We both know how frustrating it can be when your child or children become fussy eaters overnight. I’ve been through the stage of wanting to pull my hair out, screaming at them ? and simply giving up. None of those strategies work by the way ??. Here are a few tips that have helped and that could possibly help you too.
~
{1✨}Keep meal times positive. Kids can sense anxiety, so try to remain calm and positive when serving meals. {2✨}Don’t coerce or force your child into eating. This may make them tense or upset and fussy traits may get worse. {3✨}Be encouraging. Try not to say things like, “you probably won’t like this”. This may set up a self-fulfilling prophecy.
{4✨}Offer one bite of a new food, but don’t force your child to eat the whole plate. A child may refuse a new food due to fear of disliking the taste, texture, or smell. Just start with one bite. {5✨}Give some praise for trying new foods. Kids need positive reinforcement to build confidence in overcoming neophobia.
