If you’ve tried any of these things trying to get rid of your cellulite, let me tell you right now, you’ve been wasting your time.
#
Cause the truth is, while cellulite is often considered a physical flaw, it’s actually a completely common and normal part of the human anatomy, that up to 90% of women have in some amount, regardless of their weight or even level of body fat.
#
Hell, even at the time I weighted a whole 98 pounds soakinig wet, I still had cellulite on my thighs.
#
Here’s the thing with cellulite. It’s *mostly* a genetic condition & the result of the fat you do have on your body (which is normal and healthy) coming through the connective tissue that covers it. Think of your connective tissue like a net. The larger the holes in your net, the more the fat will protrude. Trouble is, from a genetic standpoint, you’re not in control of the net with which you were born,  hence why some people have more than others, no matter their size, shape, or level of leanness.
#
While you may not be able to get rid of cellulite entirely, you can minimize it. Losing body fat all over, NOT just trying to spot reduce, will help. So prioritize weight training, eating in a slight caloric deficit with enough protein, & staying as active as possible.
#
However, if you try all that and you’re still experiencing more than you’d like, consider addressing your hormones. Estrogen dominance (a higher level of estrogen to progesterone) is a common culprit of stubborn cellulite. You can address that by managing stress, reducing your toxic load, working on gut health, and eating lots of cruciferous veggies.
#
Another tip to try is dry brushing, which helps get your lymph flowing and may reduce the appearance.
#
At the end of the day, remember this. Cellulite is normal, not your fault, and you’re no less of a person for having it. While you don’t have to love it, accept it and love yourself regardless.
