I know my face is appearing on your feed a lot these days. You’re welcome to unfollow if you don’t like it. I’m totally OK with that, and with not trying to please everyone. My food posts will always be here 😊
I was thinking today that we all need to be a bit more respectful about other people’s food choices. Plant-based vegans & vegans in general have a bad rep for pushing this lifestyle on other people whether or not they want it 😕
Eating is not just as simple as saying humans used to eat x way a certain time ago so therefore ALL humans should eat x way. The environment is different, the way our bodies react to the environment and to the food we put in our mouths is unique to every single one of us. You may feel great eating this way, but it doesn’t mean that your sibling, parents, friend, acquaintance or the stranger on the train will feel the same #fact.
If you’re not plant-based, I’m not saying you should eat in a way that does not promote your wellbeing. Aka eating junk food 24/7, eating animal-based products like it’s your last day on earth, or choosing to eat out of a [processed] packet 99% of the time because you’re too lazy to cook fresh, wholesome food. That said, if it’s your choice to eat junk food 24/7, enjoy every mouthful of it. It’s your body afterall…
Plant-based eating works brilliantly for me, but it doesn’t mean it will work for you. It also doesn’t mean that because you half-assed it for 2 seconds it doesn’t work for you 😏 –
Whatever you choose, be honest with yourself, do the best you can and everything else will follow ✌🏾 Have a great day 💙 #veganbysomi
I’m curious about whether you’re vegan, or non-vegan.
P.S I should add that food is just one component of health, there’s so much more to it. I’ve made no secret about the fact that I’m all about health so if you’re here for that too, my page will get a lot more exciting and interesting for you 😊
