I no longer consider my diet a vegan diet. I categorise it more as a whole foods plant-based diet.

You may have noticed that I rarely show foods made from flour or other processed/refined products on my feed like bread, pancakes, pizza, cakes etc. That’s honestly because I rarely cook and eat them. That’s not to say I don’t eat them at all. If it’s a special occasion, or I’m out at a restaurant or visiting with friends, and there isn’t a better alternative, I’ll eat them. Otherwise, I go for the whole food option.

I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with eating refined foods. All I’m saying is that my palette and my body prefer whole foods. A vegan diet is not necessarily a whole-foods diet, but a whole-foods diet can be a vegan diet. But of course your food choice is primarily determined by your reasons for choosing to eat a certain way. Mine are based on health so it makes sense that I choose to eat the way I do.

What are your reasons for your food choices? Health? Convenience or no particular reason? Tell me in the comments below ?
