I prefer to my oats at night time because it helps me sleep beautifully and because I just enjoy it way more then. I find that a lot of protein (legumes, tofu included) at night time disrupts my sleep and sometimes I wake up bloated. Since I stopped eating proteins at night time, I’ve stopped experiencing those issues.
I never really get a chance to show you my bowls because it’s always too dark to take a photo. Now that spring is here 💃🏾 they’ll be featuring way more frequently.
I know lots of people make their oats with water then add milk afterwards. My oats are like 95% milk and probably just a little water to loosen it if it gets a little thicker than I like it.
I believe you already know that i like to eat functionally most of the time aka my food needs to be nourishing my body and not just fuelling it.
