On my plate: Tofu Katsu curry with rice. The only tasks I had were boiling the rice and cooking the tofu. The katsu curry was ready made, so yes I absolutely cheated ?Once in a while, shortcuts are necessary ??♀️ lol

I apologise if you’ve seen this already, but for those who missed my live video and story yesterday, I made an announcement that I wasn’t going to continue eating a fully plant-based diet for much longer. ~
If you’ve followed me for the last 9 months at least, you’ll know that I’ve complained about digestive issues. I’ve changed my diet several times and avoided things that’s were causing me problems. I get better for a while and then it gets worse. At this point I feel I need to rebalance my gut, take a break from foods that I know I don’t tolerate properly and then figure out how to introduce them back into my diet safely. I will be incorporating animal products back into my diet at some point soon.
~
I’m still trying to build up the courage to do it, it’s been almost 3 years since I last ate any so as you may understand, this is also a difficult decision for me. I understand that some of you would prefer not to see meals like this, so I’m giving you the opportunity to unfollow me before I start posting such foods on this page if I choose to. I will start posting my non-plant exclusive meals on my other page @wellnesswithsomi when I start eating them.

I want to thank those of you who have been so supportive and who have also shared your struggles. For those of you who choose to leave, thanks so much for the support over the last three years ??. I truly enjoyed being fully plant-based, well at least for the first 2.5 years. I’ve been fully transparent about it being more of a health journey than anything else. Now that health is no longer on the table, I believe it is time for me to bow out and develop a high-plant based diet that is suitable for my body. Sorry for my essay too ??
