Once upon a time, I fell prey to low-carb dieting. Grains and fruits were my arch enemies, and I could not be convinced to include them in my diet because they were terrible for my waistline. How I let myself get consumed by the propaganda, I don’t know, but I get comfort from knowing I was never alone in that plight. I’m glad I no longer have such fears, but I empathise with those who are still not able to see beyond outer appearances and focus on what matters the most – health. ????????

Fruits are so beneficial for providing essential micronutrients like vitamins and minerals as well as antioxidants and phytochemicals that protect us from chronic illnesses and strengthen our immune system. They are such an undervalued, but essential component of a healthy diet. You don’t have to gorge on fruit all day long if it’s not your thing, but eating at least 2 portions of fruit a day can have considerable benefits.

Because of tooth sensitivities, I can’t eat all the fruit I would love to eat. Fruit like ? and ? make my teeth sensitive for hours after eating them, so I avoid them as much as possible. When it comes to berries, ?, mangoes, and honeydew melon, there is no stopping me. Strangely enough, I don’t like ? even though most people love it. ? are my absolute favourite fruit, but berries come close behind.
