Recently I was on a discovery call with a babe who was interested in my 1:1 nutrition coaching program, and said she has been loving all the easy Starbucks swaps I’ve been posting on my Instagram? She told me she’s been using my swaps for FUN drinks like flavored lattes and frappuccinos if she’s craving something sweet! She then told me she typically orders an iced coffee from there too?⠀

That’s when we began to talk about sugar, and how too much sugar sweetened beverages can hold you back from your weight loss goals because they contain hidden calories? In addition the sugar will spike your blood sugar, cause you to “crash” later on and oftentimes make you crave sweet foods?⠀

What this babe didn’t know is that Starbuck’s plain iced coffee automatically comes with classic syrup which is… sugar!! When she discovered this, I advised her to either ask for no classic OR if she wants some flavoring to ask for a sugar-free syrup in replacement (like my fave vanilla) instead of the classic sweetener!??⠀

By making this change most days, you too can also cut out sugar and calories from your iced coffee, and help you hit your weight loss goals??‍♀️⠀
