My husband is a big guy. 6’2” with a good amount of muscle mass to him. Then there is Colleen who is… not 6’2” and def not as muscle-y. ?But, guess what? It’s not uncommon for me to eat more than him.?‍♀️⠀

I remember specifically with our Sunday brunch tradition I’d feel so guilty when I’d layer on the syrup, whipped cream, and berries to my pancakes ?and he’d eat his plain. ? I’d feel guilty over my “extra” calories, like I didn’t deserve them or something. ?‍♀️That I couldn’t POSSIBLY eat more than him, my body shouldn’t “need it”. TOTAL BOGUS.⠀

Joe, my husband, is a pretty plain guy. ??He genuinely likes un-loaded pancakes. Me? Give me ALL of the toppings! ?When I let this comparisonitis go and focused on MYSELF, not other people, I left the table A.) way more satisfied B.) more able to listen to my own hunger, fullness and satiety cues C.) way happier!??
