Dreaming about this smoky tofu sandwich while at school today ? To make the smoky tofu ??:
– Press firm or extra firm tofu for about 10 minutes until most of the water is out
– Slice the tofu thinly – Whisk together 1 tsp of liquid smoke, 1/2 tsp of smoked paprika, 1 tbsp of maple syrup, 1 tbsp of oil, 1 tbsp of soy sauce, a pinch of black pepper and a splash of water until combined – Marinate the tofu slices for at least 10 minutes (but the longer the better!)
– Fry them up in a pan on medium heat with a little bit of oil for about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown
Add to sandwiches, wraps or bowls! These are sooo good and add so much flavour to a simple dish ? enjoy!
