Finally recreated this incredible bagel from a restaurant in Amsterdam two years later ?? the flavor combination of garlic hummus, sundried tomato and peppery arugula makes this the perfect lunch for busy days or when you just want something quick and easy ✨ I threw all of these ingredients on top of a @silverhillsbakery sprouted everything bagel and called it a day. Although making your own hummus might be slightly more time consuming than buying it from a store, this still comes together in about 10 minutes and saves SO much money, and is completely versatile to your flavor preference! ?
.
My go-to hummus recipe ??:
1 can of drained and rinsed chickpeas (or about 2 cups of cooked chickpeas), 3 tbsp of tahini, 1 large lemon, juiced, 1 large clove of garlic, a generous pinch of salt, and 1/4 cup of water or olive oil (I tend to split it half and half). Blend everything together in a food processor or high powered blender, adding more water or oil a tbsp at a time if it’s not blending well. This will keep in an airtight container in the fridge for about 5 days. Enjoy! ?
