Holiday baking has officially begun, and first up are the orange spice cookies ✨ I have to admit, these turned out even better than I expected ? they’re the perfect balance of sweet + spicy, and my whole family absolutely loved them so I’ll definitely be making them again before the holiday season is over! ❄️.
.
To make ??:
Dry ingredients: 1.5 cups of AP flour, 1.5 cups of sunflower seed flour (can be subbed with almond or oat flour), 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp dried ginger, 1/2 tsp dried nutmeg, 1/8 tsp ground cloves, zest of 1 orange, 1/2 cup of sugar ✨.
Wet ingredients: 1/2 cup of coconut oil (melted), 1 tbsp molasses, juice of 1 orange, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar ✨.
Directions: Preheat oven to 375 F. Mix together all dry ingredients, except for sugar, in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together coconut oil and sugar until combined. Add remainder of wet ingredients. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients and mix until well combined. Roll dough into ~18 balls, and cook for 10-12 minutes until slightly golden. Enjoy! ?
