Good morning! So yesterday I had one of the most successful baking days ever 🤗 I made three new recipes I’m incredibly proud of and I’m so excited to share one now! These are gluten, dairy, and refined sugar free. They’re my take on the classic PB&J sandwiches with cake as the bread, almond butter, and apple butter 👌🏻 I’ve been eating this apple butter for weeks and it’s amazing! There’s no added sugar, but still very sweet with the natural sugars from the apple. I tried my best to write the recipe down, hopefully it all makes sense 🤷🏻‍♀️ Let me know if you try it! “PB&J” cake sandwiches 🍰:
1. Combine ingredients for vanilla cake mix. I subbed the oil for 2 tbs coconut oil and 2 tbs applesauce 🍎
2. Pour cake mix into a long baking sheet so the mixture is thin and b a k e!
3. After it’s cooled, use a cookie cutter to make an even number of “bread” for the sandwiches (keep leftover for another recipe ;))
4. Top each sandwich with a scoop of almond butter and natural apple butter (no sugar added)
5. Make sandwiches and drizzle chocolate on top 🍫
