Happy Thursday Friends ✨
This is real life, this is my breakfast. A meal I get excited about, a meal that brings me so much joy. I used to get so caught up in making the perfect meal, but like what the heck is the “perfect” meal. For me, today, it’s cereal with banana slices and almond butter. Tomorrow it may be something else, and the day after that it may be the exact same thing ??♀️
A few months ago I vowed to myself to not let food hold me back. I’m in NYC! There’s so much food all around me. Lately I’ve been eating corn more and more and soy if it’s in my Asian food. If there’s refined sugars in my gluten free cookie, so be it ? I got tired of the stress that went along with eating. It’s just not supposed to be that way. These days I’m letting food spark joy. I’m letting food bring along happy memories and good thoughts. Something I should have done SO long ago.
But I’m not mad at my past self. I’m thankful to learn from her. I’m so happy to be on the other side ??
