i used to worry that if i ate breakfast, i would be eating unnecessary calories. Not only was that so wrong, but i was also depriving myself of the necessary nutrients and energy to get the day going 💪🏼 Especially on days like today, when the school cold has taken over my body, a warm breakfast was what i needed. Started today with a warm cup of tea, oven baked cinnamon apples with @wild_friends chocolate almond butter, and a mug cake 🎂 This simple recipe was an awesome start to my day and was exactly what i needed on this chilly morning ❄️

Recipe for mug cake:
~ 1 tbs coconut flour
~ 1 tbs almond flour
~ 1/2 tsp baking powder
~ 1 egg
~ 2 tbs applesauce
~ 1 tbs almond milk
~ cinnamon
~ sweetener of choice (i didn’t use any, but i also added chocolate almond butter later 🤷🏻‍♀️)
Mix all ingredients well and pour into mug, microwave for one minute or more depending on your microwave
