It’s the first day of school so I’m starting with something sweet ? My goal is to stay so positive throughout the school year so I figured cookies might be the way to go! You guys know I’m obsessed with my fig tree and I had so many so I used them to make a new recipe: fig and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies! The chocolate is totally optional, but why wouldn’t you add chocolate lol. I didn’t make a blog post for these just yet, but I couldn’t wait to share so here you go! I’ll add the recipe below. Fig and Oatmeal cookies:
~ 1 and 1/2 cup oat flour
~ 1/2 cup gluten free oats
~ 1/2 tsp baking soda
~ 1/2 tsp baking powder
~ pinch sea salt
~ 2 eggs
~ 1/4 cup date honey
~ 1/3 cup applesauce
~ 1/2 @hukitchen dark chocolate sea salt bar (crushed up)
Mix all wet and dry ingredients separately and then combine to mix well. Scoop onto a baking sheet and press half a fig into the center of each cookie. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until the cookie is golden brown ??
