NEW profile picture because there’s nothing better than stumbling across a fresh juicery when you’re having a day at the beach with your family ☀️
To be honest, when I first got to Israel I was really worried that I would not be able to control myself around food. Over the last few months my body has made it clear that gluten and dairy need to stay out of my diet for at least a little while longer. But coming here, knowing that the gluten and the dairy taste so amazing, I was worried that I would not be able to control myself at all and I would give in and eat everything I could just because it was in front of me. And while it’s hard avoiding all these things I love so much, I have honestly not felt this good in a little while. I have found so many amazing alternatives to the food that I love. So when I stumble across a juicery that literally peels the fresh fruit in front of me, you can imagine just how happy I am. I do find the negative self talk coming in every once in a while, but overall I am so full of joy. I am surrounded by the family I get to rarely see, and I think that’s just what I needed ?
I feel comfortable, I feel safe, and I feel full. Full of good food and full of love. Sorry if that sounds cheesy, but that’s just how I’m feeling. Sending you guys all the love today! I’m currently at the airport waiting to pick up someone special who’s about to land in Israel for the week. Guess who??
