Intuitive eating and food freedom is about more than just eating the food. I say this over and over again because it’s true! It’s about mind-body connection, body attunement, improving body image, overcoming fat phobia, and neutralizing foods.❤️ And all of that takes way more than just eating a donut and calling it a day. ?♀️That’s a huge step and is totally an important piece! But the food freedom learning process doesn’t stop there.?♀️

And as for the listening to IG VS your body? This one is SO common! ?You see all of these pictures of pizza?and donuts? and think “This is what IE is! This is how I should eat!” and it’s almost like we turn it into a diet by just blindly following little squares on IG… except this diet looks a whole lot different than the salads we used to eat?, opting for donuts now.

Moral of the story: it’s so easy for us to over simplify what intuitive eating and food freedom truly is. The truth is that it’s NOT simple. It takes work. It’s about re-learning and un-learning. It’s a process. But one that is SO. ?Freaking. ? Worth. ? It. ?
