Chia Seed Jam: Easy, Healthy, and No Sugar Overload

Forget the heaps of sugar found in traditional jams—chia seeds do the thickening here! Most of the time, I skip added sweeteners altogether since the fruit’s natural sweetness shines through. For tart fruits like raspberries, I might toss in just a tablespoon of honey, but that’s it!

You can use either fresh or frozen fruit, making this jam perfect for any season. In the summer, it’s a great way to use up extra fresh fruit, and in the winter, frozen fruit works like a charm.

No need to worry about canning—this jam is quick and easy, even if you’re not a canning pro (like me!). It’s ideal for small batches, yielding about one cup, though you can easily adjust the recipe to make more or less.

The best part? It takes only 10 minutes to whip up—about as long as brewing your morning coffee.

This recipe works with almost any juicy fruit: strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, cherries, pineapples, kiwi, apricots… you name it! Feel free to experiment with your favorite fruits and add any spices or flavorings you like. The possibilities are endless!
