And as a Dietitian, I’m going to let you in on a little secret ?… You do NOT. I repeat, DO ?? NOT ?? need to remove them from your diet to lose weight!!
A calorie deficit can 100% be achieved with carbs in every single meal ? In fact, I recommend doing exactly that!
Focus on these instead:
⭐️ Tracking meals
⭐️ A slight calorie deficit
⭐️ Balancing meals & snacks
⭐️ Adding volume foods
⭐️ Proper portion sizes
⭐️ Mindful eating
For example, if you want mac & cheese, go for it! ?? Just make it a PART of your meal and find some balance by pairing it with a salad and some baked chicken.
Believe me, ALL foods fit in your healthy diet and weight loss plan. ? Plus, carbs play a major role in your body’s energy ⚡️system and are absolutely delicious!
So if anyone ever tells you to “cut” them out of your diet for weight loss ?, run far far away ?♀️
