I used to have set times that I could “allow” myself to eat. It was one of my bogus food rules. Even if I was STARVING I couldn’t let myself eat before a certain time. ? But… here’s the deal ? our bodies don’t work like that. Sometimes they’ll get hungry sooner, sometimes later. And if we avoid that hunger to try to “hold off” as long as possible? Yeah… it’s probs going to backfire by us having a harder time listening to our fullness & satisfaction because you’re SO hungry.

Now, as an intuitive eater, I don’t look at the clock to tell me when I can eat.?♀️ If my body is giving me cues that it needs food I honor it because I have built that trust with it.
