I always love to check out products that sit in the ‘health’ food section. The s…

I always love to check out products that sit in the ‘health’ food section. The supermarket placement can be deceiving.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There’s a few things I like about the product on the right.
1. they’re tasty.
2. they’ve got 3g of fibre per serve.
3. they say they’re chips and don’t pretend they’re something else.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I don’t think the extra protein is a big deal because per serve it’s not enough to induce satiety and I’d rather get my protein from elsewhere.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But overall both are snacks that should be chosen infrequently. While it’s ok to have these occasionally, if they take the place of other whole food snacks (like fruit, veg, dairy, nuts or seeds) then you will do yourself a disservice because of the vitamins, minerals, good fats, phytonutrients and fibre that your body will miss out on.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
