Not even going to tell you how challenging it was to take this picture this morning! I was super hungry and all I wanted to do was to dig into this warm bowl of goodness ???
I made a creamy salted caramel oatmeal topped with almond butter, fried bananas, dried cranberries and chocolate chips. And the chocolate chips were already soft and melty, mmm I love that feeling ???
I’ll leave the porridge recipe below!

Salted caramel oatmeal
1/2 cup porridge oats
5-6 dates (or less if very large), chopped
3/4 cup hot water
1/2 cup oat milk
1 tbsp almond butter
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp maca powder (you can skip it if you don’t have it on hand)
Place oats, chopped dates and hot water in a small pan. Leave for 10 minutes to soak. After that time add the rest of the ingredients, bring to a boil and cook for about 3 minutes, until thick and creamy. Serve warm.
