Basil🌿: Fortifies the digestive and nervous system and can be a good remedy for headaches and insomnia. Basil also contains anti-inflammatory oils that protect the joints and enhance digestive health.
There are two things I feel silly buying; 1. Hummus 2. Pesto. They are both so simple to make and can be cheaper than store-bought versions. I used this recipe to make my basil pesto today:
– 1 clove garlic, roughly chopped
– 20g fresh basil leaves
– 20g fresh rocket leaves
– 20g sunflower seeds
– 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
– Pinch of salt
I blitzed this roughly in a food processor and then combined with cooked pasta. This tasted so fresh and amazing even without nutritional yeast or vegan cheese.
I prepped some prawns to go with this, but totally forgot about them 😏 No harm done, I will use them in the recipe I planned for tomorrow 🙂 Have a great evening lovelies 🖤
