???? I talk a lot about flexible dieting, calculating your macros and then eating within your macros. Yet sometimes I get questions because people don’t quite understand what that means. A lot of people see others on social media posting ?donuts, pizza ? , cake ?, and hashtagging #macros or #iifym, which sometimes leads to the misconception that people who eat this way eat whatever junk food they want as long as it “fits within their macros.” The thing is that’s definitely not the premise of flexible dieting.

The point of flexible dieting is to eat mostly healthy food – lean meats, healthy carbs, healthy fat, lots of veggies and fruits. However flexible dieting allows you to occasionally have cheat meals or have treats while still staying on the diet. It’s a much more free way to eat, rather than a restrictive diet. Because you can try to eat a “clean” diet, but most people can’t sustain it, and end up binging or giving up completely. It’s better to allow yourself your favorite less healthy foods once in a while and healthy foods most of the time!
happy flexible eating everyone! ?????? ?
