Unless you enjoy being hungry, there’s absolutely no need to starve while trying…

Unless you enjoy being hungry, there’s absolutely no need to starve while trying to lose weight when eating a vegan diet. Just stick to these rules and you should see the pounds drop off effortlessly…

1. Eat whole foods predominately, cut down on or completely eliminate processed / refined foods.

2. Eliminate refined oils, get your fats from in their whole form from nuts, avocados and seeds. If you still struggle with weight loss while eating them, cut them out temporarily then reintroduce them in small quantities once you’ve reached your ideal weight.

3. Fill up on vegetables, particularly green leafy vegetables and salad leaves. Try to eat them first before eating your starches.

4. Base your diet around whole starches like grains, oats, and beans because they’ll give you lots of energy. They will not cause spikes in your blood sugar levels and you’ll stay fuller for longer periods.

5. Eat until you’re comfortably satisfied, not stuffed. But, if you love the stuffed feeling, get stuffed with vegetables not starches ?

6. Finally and most importantly do NOT be scared of carbs, they are NOT the enemy! I use to eat a low carb diet prior to being vegan and I’d have to eat tiny quantities of food just to keep my weight down. I eat as many carbs as I desire and I’m not getting fat.

I promised to show a photo of what I looked like prior to going vegan. That photo is coming soon. –
I ought to add that I didn’t go vegan because of weight loss. I get asked about weight loss a lot so I thought I’d dedicate my caption to that today ?

In my bowl ?Bulgar wheat, spicy chickpeas, steamed courgettes, cherry ?, ? and lots of spinach underneath ? –
