Taking full advantage of apple season with this stewed cinnamon maple apple oatmeal ?? Right after my breakfast smoothie this morning I found myself still hungry, especially because I had just completed a long run ??♀️So guess what I did? EAT ?? There’s no reason we have to stick to traditional meal times or rules for eating ?♀️ When I’m hungry, I eat. My body knows what it needs a lot better than I do, so when it’s asking for nourishment, I give it nourishment ✨Especially when that comes in the form of delicious maple spiced oats ?

To make ??:
Cook oatmeal as per your preference (I usually do the same amount of rolled oats as plant-based milk and simmer on the stovetop, stirring frequently for about 7-10 minutes). Chop one apple and add to a separate pan with 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1 tbsp maple syrup. Cook over medium heat for ~5 minutes, until apples are fragrant and slightly softened and browned. Add to oatmeal and add any other toppings you like- I kept it simple today with natural peanut butter. Enjoy! ?
