Today’s post is brought to you with a heavy heart. Toronto experienced heart breaking violence just two nights ago right in my neighbourhood, just meters from where this picture was taken, and I’m still grappling with it all. It’s hard to know what to say in times like this- I feel so lucky that my loved ones and I weren’t out on the street like we so often are or physically affected, but that doesn’t make the situation any better, knowing that the community I call home is grieving with such inconceivable, senseless loss. Staying positive in times like this can be challenging, but I genuinely feel so grateful for being able to call this community home knowing how quickly everyone came together and the fearlessness we’re exhibiting. I hope you all hug your loved ones extra close today and try to live in the moment, appreciating the small things as much as possible ?
