At first glance you might think “That doesn’t look like a day with no food rules!!” but this ? is the result of not having food rules. ?Shocking, I know.

The secret sauce is this…. FEELING. Yes, as an intuitive eater without food rules I CAN legit eat cake ? for every meal. I have 180% permission to do that. But I genuinely don’t want to. ? I DID that. And it didn’t feel good. So, I learned, from feeling like poo, how to find “balance”.

Here is how you can do it too ⬇️

On Saturday try having regular pancakes ? with no significant protein source. Then on Sunday maybe you try making some oat flour protein pancakes for a whole grain and protein punch. Do you notice a difference in how this feels to your body?

What this does, this feelings based approach, is to help you create intrinsic motivation for eating “healthy”. Doing these “experiments”, as I call them, allows you to implement nutrition into your intuitive eating journey without it feeling diet-y.

Another experiment you could try would be having a candy bar for a snack VS a date with PB and chocolate chips. Are they the same? ?♀️Abso-freakin-lutely not. And if you’re craving a candy bar… eat the candy bar! Without guilt! But when you start to understand how they’re different (both taste & how they feel to your body) and not “swaps” is where you find “balance” in your intuitive eating journey.❤️
